Outstanding Junior Clinical Education Manuscript Award
Purpose: This award will be given to a junior faculty member (Assistant Professor/Instructor) or an Associate Professor of no more than 3 years duration who has been first author on an important peer reviewed clinical education article published in a scientific journal during the previous year.
Eligibility: This award is targeted to junior faculty (Assistant Professor/Instructor or equivalent) who are in the career development stage of their career. The junior faculty member must have first-authored an outstanding peer-reviewed geriatrics clinical education journal article. Selection of award winners will consider the article's novelty, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and potential to influence geriatrics education. Papers that were published between September 1st and August 31st of the previous year are eligible for this award.
Application Process: Applicants must complete the online nomination form, including a curriculum vitae and a copy of the manuscript. Applications will be reviewed and the awardee selected by the Awards Committee of the American Geriatrics Society.
Award: To recognize this outstanding achievement, the awardee will receive a letter documenting the award and a framed certificate will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
