Hartford Geriatrics Leadership Development Program
Funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation since 2001 and under the direction of David B. Reuben, MD, the Hartford Geriatrics Leadership Development Program Phase I offered intensive leadership training opportunities for newly appointed directors of geriatric academic programs and an annual networking and educational opportunity for program directors who are current members of ADGAP.
Phase II of the Hartford Geriatrics Leadership Development Program was recently approved by the Hartford Foundation and includes four more years of funding starting May 1, 2007. Phase II will be led by Drs. David Reuben, C. Seth Landefeld and G. Paul Eleazer. The grant includes the following components:
- Leadership Scholars Program for 20 newly appointed program directors
- A new Senior Leadership Scholars program for 16 senior leaders
- Leadership retreats in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for ADGAP Class I members
- Support of the ADGAP Geriatrics Fellowship Directors Group
- Support of ADGAP Business Meetings
