Restoring Geriatric Health Professions Title VII Funding
At the end of 2005, geriatric health professions training was dealt a tremendous blow when Congress approved a 2006 budget that did not include funding for Title VII geriatric health professions programming in the 2006 federal budget. Based on a survey of geriatric academic program directors (full results available below), program directors have only been able to find alternative funding for less than 12% of their 2005 awardees.
