Mission
To promote and maintain high standards and
the continuum of healthcare for the elderly.
To assist in the education of physicians, medical
students, and other health personnel in issues regarding the elderly.
To foster professional and public awareness
concerning issues in Geriatric medicine and to promote a positive image
of the long term care milieu.
To encourage and promote research in the broad
field of geriatrics and gerontology.
To act as a resource to professional and lay
organizations, and to monitor governmental agencies and community programs,
in areas of care and planning for the elderly.
To maintain active and productive relationships
with other organizations interested in geriatrics and long term care.
Membership Membership in this corporation shall be open to
any individual interested in the objectives and the activities of the
corporation.
