The Ohio Geriatrics Society funded the Jerome Kowal Award a third year in a row, sponsoring two medical students at $750 each to attend the American Geriatrics Society. Neel Parekh is a medical student at NEOUCOM, and George Assad is a medical student at Ohio University. Coincidentally, although they did not know each other before last year, they did research projects at John Hopkins University during the summer of 2010 and their posters were accepted into the Presidential Poster Symposium. We are proud of them!
