Educational Product Development Peer Review Workshop

Overview
The Educational Product Development Peer Review Workshop is intended to be a group peer review/ problem-solving process, where each participant has the opportunity to present an educational product they are developing to the group and get feedback about challenges they are experiencing from both their peers and an expert facilitator. Participants will also be expected to serve as peer reviewers and provide feedback to the other participants in their group. A facilitator will be assigned to each group to provide “expert” advice to supplement and enrich the conversation.

- Utilize feedback received from peer review of an educational product in development
- Clarify goals and develop action plans for the future
- Assess and evaluate challenges experienced by peers

Registration
Advance registration is required for this workshop and participants must submit a brief description that outlines the educational product in development and identifies 1 or 2 challenges they would like assistance with. The deadline to register is April 1, 2012. After your registration is received, you will be assigned to a specific group. Format of the Session
The format of the live session is as follows:
- Each presenter will have approximately 10-15 minutes.
- The presenter describes his or her educational product and the challenges he or she is facing. He or she should provide enough background information about the challenge so that everyone at the table understands the context.
- The group asks the presenter clarifying questions about the challenge or the background to ensure they understand the situation fully.
- Then the group provides constructive feedback to the presenter, particularly ideas about how he or she can approach the challenge in question.
- After the feedback, the presenter will respond to comments made, ask for more clarification or depth on a particular point, and describe what he or she learned.
