Guiding Principles for the Care of Older Adults with Multimorbidity: An Approach for Clinicians
Co-Moderators: Cynthia M. Boyd, MD, Johns Hopkins University & Matthew K. McNabney, MD, Johns Hopkins University
In 2011, the AGS convened an interdisciplinary panel to develop an approach by which clinicians can interpret clinical practice guidelines when caring for older adults with multimorbidity. After a thorough literature review, the panel agreed upon a set of guiding principles for the clinical management of multimorbid patients. This program will present an overview of the guiding principles, strategies for their clinical application, and recommendations for a future research agenda.
