Hearing Impairment: Strategies to Promote Safety and Quality of Care

Designed for practitioners across settings who work with older adults at risk for hearing loss (HL), this workshop provides an update on age related HL; its psychosocial, physiological, and cognitive consequences; its assessment; and strategies promoting safety and quality of care. Hands on experience with technologies that facilitate hearing, including both hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and that promote safety in the home will be provided.
