Fellows-in-Training Newsletter
Looking Forward
Diane Chau, MD

As we enter this new academic year, it is a time full of mixed emotions. In light of the recent tragedies, it is an especially hard time for everyone trying to get back to everyday routines. For those just beginning their geriatrics training, I invite you to become actively involved in all areas of geriatrics - especially our fellows in training section. For the rest of us, the courageous group that has chosen to pursue a second or third year, there is much work to be done and so little time: our board exams, grant applications deadlines; abstracts to submit and meetings to attend. But let us not forget to maintain lines of communication with other fellows in training. Our aim this year is to increase participation and communications among all geriatric fellows. If there are ideas for content within our newsletter, please email me at dianechaumd@yahoo.com or Elvy Ickowicz at eickowicz@americangeriatrics.org. Make our newsletter be everything you would like it to be. We are always grateful for input, suggestions, articles and new ideas.
