  • Fellows-In-Training representative at AGS Education Committee
  • Serves in this capacity for one year, after serving as Chair-Elect.

Nominations are due on December 31, 2003 and we will notify candidates who are nominated by others in order to be sure they wish to serve. Nominations will be finalized by January 10th and a ballot will be sent to all members of the FIT section so that they may vote for the candidate of their choice. The candidate who receives a majority vote will be declared the winner. Each candidate will be notified of the election result and the successful candidate will be announced in the AGS Newsletter as well as at the Fellows-in-Training Breakfast at the AGS 2004 Annual Meeting. The Chair-Elect's term as Chair will begin at the May 2004 meeting and will include service on the Education Committee of the American Geriatrics Society. Until then, the Chair-Elect will assist the current Chair in their responsibilities as needed.

Please use the response form on the reverse side to nominate a candidate of your choice for the position of Chair-Elect of the AGS Fellows-in-Training Section. Just complete and tear out the form and send it to Amy Tam Liao via fax 212-832-8646 or by mail. All nominations must be received by December 31, 2003. A ballot will then be sent to FIT members by January 12th with the winner announced by January 30th. As per AGS procedures, the new Chair-Elect will become Fellows-in-Training Chair immediately following AGS Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.
