The Results Are In…
Announcing our Next FIT Chair

Dr. Diane Chau has been elected to serve as the new Fellows-in Training Chair, to begin serving as FIT Chair in May 2001.

Prior to entering a geriatrics fellowship at the University of California, San Diego Diane has three years of clinical medicine staff experience, which included work on various medical committees and supervisory roles with the medical residents as clinical instructor for the University of Washington's Southwest Washington family medicine program. She has done her internship at Medical College Hospitals, and her residency at the University of Hawaii. In 1997 she served as a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has also been awarded the Stein Institute of Research in Aging fellowship.

As the Chair her responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a spokesperson within the AGS Fellows-in-Training
  • Writing articles for submission to the F.I.T. Newsletter
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the FIT website
  • Serving as an Ad-hoc AGS committee member
  • Working with AGS to plan annual meeting activities

On behalf of the AGS, we congratulate Dr. Chau on her new appointment and wish her much luck and success as she begins her term. Remember Dr. Chau is acting as your spokesperson; let her know your thoughts, concerns and suggestions.
