The purpose of this workshop is to provide junior faculty and fellows
with current information about potential sources of research funding that
will enable them to launch an academic career in geriatric medicine and
aging research. An open question and answer period will follow. After
this session, you will be able to 1) recognize the awards that are available
for young investigators pursuing an academic career in geriatric medicine
and aging research, 2) understand which awards are applicable to young
investigators, based on their research interests and stage of their training/career,
and 3) network with successful applicants and other young investigators
pursuing an academic career in geriatric and aging research.
