Funding Opportunities

Here are some funding opportunities available especially for you new investigators…

HRQ/Small Research Grants -
AHRQ seeks applications for small research grants (R03) designed to provide support for investigators or researchers new to health care services to encourage preliminary, exploratory or innovative research in new or previously unexamined areas. AFAR/Pfizer Research Grants in Hormones & Aging-
The American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) in partnership with Pfizer, created this grant to address specific areas of research that relate to the care of an aging population. This program invites applications specifically focused on hormones and aging. The grant term is 1-2 years, with a maximum award of $50,000. The Deadline for applications is Dec. 15, 2001. New Investigator Research Grant Program-
The Alzheimer Association is offering this grant to new investigators who are seeking support which will allow them to develop preliminary or pilot data, test procedures and develop a hypothesis that will provide the basis for future grant applications. Up to 30 awards of up to $100,000 each will be awarded to these new investigators who are focusing on a question about interventions for Alzheimer's.
