AGS Launches GRS4, with Expanded Geriatrics Content

The American Geriatrics Society is pleased to announce the release of its all-new Geriatrics Review Syllabus: A Core Curriculum in Geriatric Medicine, Fourth Edition (GRS4).

Authored by more than 100 medical experts on the care of the older person, this comprehensive review of geriatric medicine covers topics including General Principles of Aging, Approach to the Elderly Patient, Geriatric Syndromes, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Common Geriatric Diseases, Disorders, and Health Concerns.

In addition to the traditional three-volume set of books, GRS4 is being released, for the first time, on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM version enables users to access the chapters and complete the self-assessment program electronically, as well as move by hyperlinks from question critiques to relevant passages in the Syllabus.

GRS4 will be available in May, 1999, and volume discounts will be available. Samples of GRS4 may be seen, and orders can be placed at the AGS/AFAR Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, May 19-23, 1999. Otherwise, contact the American Geriatrics Society at (212) 308-1414.
