Geriatric Certification and Recertification Exams:
In a Joint venture, the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) offer a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. The "added certificate" is designed to recognize excellence among those Diplomates who provide care to the elderly. The Geriatric Medicine Examinations are given annually on the same dates and times.

Title: Intensive Update with Board Review in Geriatric & Palliative Medicine
Dates: September 14-17, 2008

Focus: This four day CME activity is a clinically based intensive course in geriatric and palliative medicine providing updates on geriatric syndromes, palliative and end-of-life care, and the latest in research and treatments. Each day consists of six large group sessions and six interactive workshops designed to provide both practical experience with the large group material as well as to cover other content areas.
