Falls Prevention in Older Adults
Falls are a leading cause of serious injuries in older adults that can lead to hospitalization, nursing home admission, and even death among older people. In fact, one in every three adults over the age of 65 falls each year. The American Geriatrics Society is pleased to provide tools to assist clinicians in providing optimal care to older adults who suffer from falls, as well as resources for patients and caregivers on preventing falls.
