AGS Updated Beers Criteria for Potentially Inappropriate Medication Use in Older Adults: Application for the Individual Practitioner/Prescriber

Monday, July 30, 2012
7:00-8:00 pm EST

Program Description:
The AGS published the AGS Updated Beers Criteria for Potentially Inappropriate Medication Use in Older Adults in March 2012. Originally conceived of by the late Mark Beers, MD, the initial Beers criteria identified medications whose risks outweigh their benefits and those that should be avoided or used with caution in adults 65 and older. This webinar will present an overview of the updated criteria and will provide guidance to practicing clinicians on their use in practice.

Attendees will learn how to use the Beers criteria to ensure quality prescribing in older adults, with a specific focus on those medications that are frequently prescribed to older adults, and will learn about medication therapy management CPT coding and billing options that are especially relevant to the Beers Criteria.

The registration fee for this Important 1 hour webinar is $25. Fees include CME credit as well as access to the slides after the webinar.
