AGS membership is activated on a calendar year basis, beginning on January 1. Dues received prior to August 15 will be applied to the current year, and members will be eligible to receive back issues of the Journal of the American Geriatric Society, beginning with the January issue of that year. Dues received after August 15 will be applied to the following year, and members will begin receiving hard copies of the Journal in January of the following year. These members will be able to access JAGS electronically. Other membership benefits, such as the AGS Newsletter and reduced fees for the AGS/CME programs, will begin immediately upon receipt of the dues.
