Las Vegas, NV- The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is pleased to announce that the popular GRS5 Teaching Slides, Volume I is now available to subscribers via the Web. The series of one hour PowerPoint(TM) presentations on topics such as osteoporosis, delirium, palliative care, dementia and preventive care are culled from the fifth edition of the comprehensive reference book and self-assessment program Geriatrics Review Syllabus: A Core Curriculum in Geriatric Medicine (2002).
The slides, like the source they are drawn from, are geared toward helping the medical community enrich their understanding and practice of geriatric care. Each presentation is designed to provide one-hour seminars for use with faculty, fellows, residents, or students. Case studies and answers are also included in the set, and notes pages below each opening title include suggestions for lecturers.
According to AGS Chair Dr. Richard W. Besdine, "The GRS5 teaching slides are a good resource for the beginning instructor and for seasoned lecturers who are looking for a basic presentation on the topic that they can enhance with their own materials."
A two-year subscription to the GRS5 Teaching Slides Website providing full access to all current content as well as to regularly added topics in development is available for $35.95. Subscribers can modify, download, print, and save the presentations on their personal computers. Technical support is also available during regular business hours.

Attendees at this week's AGS Annual Scientific Meeting at the Venetian Hotel can stop by the AGS Marketplace in the Exhibit Hall for a sample presentation, also available at http://www.frycomm.com/ags/teachingslides/sample.asp.
