Schedule a Meeting from April 30 - May 2, 2008
We invite Annual Meeting Attendees to participate in Congressional Visits Program by scheduling meetings with their Congressional representatives during the 2008 AGS Annual Scientific Meeting which is being held in our Nation's Capital.
Through personal meetings with members of Congress and their staff, AGS members will have the opportunity to familiarize lawmakers and their staff with the specialty of geriatrics and why it is important to act now to ensure that there are adequate numbers of geriatricians and other healthcare professionals to address the nation's aging population.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own congressional visits, but are asked to register for the event. Registering ensures that you receive briefing materials that will provide you with information on how to schedule a visit, procedural tips on conducting a successful visit, and the Society's legislative objectives, and also helps us to link you with other individuals from your district.
