Things to Do in Orlando

The Magic Kingdom: The ultimate theme park
Take a complimentary trip from your hotel to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, where you can get a thrill on rides like Space Mountain, risk the Haunted Mansion, fly with Peter Pan, and explore other key attractions. The park is open daily, but check with your hotel for exact times.

Epcot: Travel the world in a day
Visit Disney’s Epcot Center theme park, dedicated to international culture and technological innovation. Explore the park’s World Showcase and Future World pavilions. Blast off on rides like Mission: SPACE. And sample international meals and snacks at restaurants like L' Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante and Restaurant Akershus, housed in a Norwegian-style castle. The park is open daily, but check with your hotel for exact times.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Discover the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into Disney animated films and experience live stunts and spectacles seen in your favorite flicks. The streets of this park recall the Hollywood studios of the '30s and '40s and resemble a big, bustling movie set. Step into the action with new attractions-including the American Idol Experience. The park is open daily, but check with your hotel for exact times.

Animal Kingdom: It's the circle of life
The largest animal-themed park in the world, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to more than 1,700 animals from 250 species and sprawls across 500 acres of lush landscape. Encounter exotic animals on trails like the Maharajah Jungle Trek and cuddly ones in the Affection Section petting zoo. The park is open daily, but check with your hotel for exact times.

Water Parks: Cool ways to cool off
Florida sun too hot to handle? Cool off at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. These Disney water parks include wet and wild thrill rides like Summit Plummet, one of the world's tallest and fastest free-fall body slides. For a slower pace, relax on a tube and travel around Typhoon Lagoon’s Castaway Creek through rain forests and waterfalls.

Downtown Disney: Big-city fun!
Live it up in a downtown filled with unique shops, restaurants, entertainment and excitement. Explore the Downtown Disney Marketplace, home to Mickey’s Groove and other Disney character stores; Hollywood memorabilia shops such as Starabilias and Reel Finds; and handcrafted gifts and blown glass sculptures at Arribas Brothers. Then head for Downtown Disney’s West Side, with its first-rate restaurants, theaters, shows and amusement; and for Pleasure Island, where you’ll find live performances and nightclubs.

World of Sports: Get some exercise
Team up for one of many sports offered at Disney’s World of Sports, including volleyball, soccer and basketball. You can also participate in martial arts or lacrosse or just be an enthusiastic spectator.

Walt Disney Monorail: Bringing it all together
The Walt Disney World monorail system has been in continuous operation since 1971. It links the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Center (adjacent to the Magic Kingdom parking lot). A connecting monorail takes guests from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot.

Orlando Eats: Fabulous food, famous chefs, fun times
Orlando abounds with eateries that'll suit any palate. Try renowned chef Todd English's Bluezoo, a great place for seafood, and Gulliver's, set in a tropical garden gazebo and inspired by the classic tale Gulliver's Travels. Other popular choices include the Hollywood Brown Derby on Hollywood Boulevard, serving American cuisine, and the Yachtsman Steakhouse, located in Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
