*Please note: The 2004 annual meeting dates and location were changed last fall and this year the meeting will run from Monday, May 17 to Friday, May 21. We are aware that this change in pattern may make it difficult for some to attend the entire meeting. The AGS was forced to move the meeting at the last minute because the hotel where the meeting was originally scheduled was not large enough to accommodate our meeting. The contract was negotiated 10 years ago and the AGS annual meeting has grown in size and attendance beyond what the original meeting planners had anticipated. We apologize if the change in pattern for the 2004 annual meeting causes any inconvenience for attendees. Please rest assured that the meeting will go back to the original pattern (Wednesday to Sunday) for 2005 and beyond.
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 2004 Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) from May 17 to 21 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The AGS Annual Scientific Meeting is the premier educational event in geriatrics, providing the latest information on clinical care, research on aging, and innovative models of care delivery. It offers an opportunity for experienced clinicians, researchers, educators, and primary care providers to keep abreast of new developments in geriatric research. The 2004 AGS Annual Scientific Meeting will address the educational needs of geriatrics professionals from all disciplines. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers, long-term care and managed care providers, health care administrators, and others can update their knowledge and skills through state-of-the-art educational sessions and research presentations.
Meeting attendees will have plenty of wonderful opportunities to network and exchange ideas and information with colleagues from around the world. The Presidential Reception, Special Interest Group Meetings, breakfasts for Fellows-in-Training and Nurses, luncheons for Pharmacists and Social Workers, and the Presidential Poster Session & Awards Reception are all great opportunities to network.
AGS staff are happy to answer any questions you may have about the meeting. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
