Things to Look for in Coming Month:

Your Society! Your Vote! Look for your official ballot for voting for the President-Elect and candidates for the open seats on the AGS Board of Directors for terms commencing in May 2007 in your mailbox this month. This year, AGS members will be able to vote via paper ballot or by our new electronic voting system! All members are asked to vote. Remember, it's your Society and your vote counts!

Membership Survey! If you haven't already done so, please fill out the membership survey we sent out electronically in February. We are collecting feedback on our Member Benefits, services, products, the Annual Meeting and our Public Policy Efforts. Let your voice be heard.

Committee Appointments! Thank you to everyone who applied to serve on an AGS Committee or renew their term on an AGS Committee! The Committee Appointments will be reviewed this month and we will be notifying those seeking to serve on a Committee of the Board's decision later this month.

Members to Vote on proposed Bylaws Amendments at 2007 AGS annual business meeting
Look for information on proposed amendments to the AGS Bylaws in your mailboxes and on MyAGS this month. The AGS Board is proposing several amendments to the election process for the AGS President-Elect that would allow members to select amongst two candidates for President-Elect. The Board is also proposing changes to the Bylaws to make the Bylaws more congruent with available new technologies for communicating with members. AGS Members attending the AGS Annual Business meeting on May 3, 2007 at 9:00 am will be asked to vote on the proposed Bylaws amendments and the Board encourages all AGS members to attend this meeting.
