Deadline Extended! Earn CME Credit With Geriatrics Review Syllabus 6th Edition - Throughout 2009

Deadlines for earning CME credit with AGS' Geriatrics Review Syllabus: A Core Curriculum in Geriatric Medicine, 6th Edition, have been extended another year.

The American Academy of Family Physicians has reviewed the GRS6 and extended the deadline for earning CME credits with the syllabus. You can earn up to 75 Prescribed Credits from the AAFP with the GRS6 this year. The GRS6 has been renewed from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009.

The AGS has also extended the deadline for earning AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM with the GRS6. That deadline is also December 31, 2009. Diplomates of the American Board of Internal Medicine who are recertifying may also obtain Maintenance of Certification credits from the GRS6 (GRS6 CD Rom edition only). In addition, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has determined that the GRS6 is eligible for up to 75 hours in Category 2-B of AOA CME, through December 31, 2009.

The fully updated GRS6, authored by more than 100 medical experts on the care of older adults, is a comprehensive review of geriatric medicine. It includes prevailing management strategies and recent findings in geriatric medicine; notated references that allow readers to pursue topics in greater depth; an extensive appendix with assessment instruments and practical resources; case-oriented multiple-choice questions with answers; and critiques and references, providing an effective, valuable self-assessment tool.
