There are two ways to apply to attend this conference: as a paid attendee or as a travel grantee. Please follow the instructions below to apply as either a paid attendee or a travel grantee.

This conference has a limited number of participants in order to promote interaction and small group work. Up to 25 participants are invited to register to participate at their own cost.
Meeting registration is $410. All attendees are expected to stay and participate in the entire conference.
Who is Eligible to apply?
Faculty and research fellows who meet the following criteria:
- At least 1-2 years of research experience in a related field
- Hold an MD or PhD degree
- Have an academic appointment as a research fellow, instructor, or faculty member within the United States.
Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
To apply, please email your NIH formatted biographical sketch and a brief statement to Christine Campanelli at ccampanelli@americangeriatrics.org. Please put in the subject of your email: “2008 Bedside-to-Bench Attendee Application”
Your brief statement should include:
- Research accomplishments related to the topic of the conference
- Your goals for attending the conference.
Application Due Date
August 1, 2008
Participants will be notified by August 15, 2008.

APPLY TO ATTEND - TRAVEL GRANTEES
Up to 10 travel awards for faculty and research fellows will be made. These awards will cover the registration fee ($410), hotel and per diem for the 2 ½ day conference, up to $500 for air fare, and up to $50 for ground transportation. All attendees are expected to stay and participate in the entire conference.
Who is Eligible to apply for a travel grant?
Faculty and research fellows who meet the following criteria:
- At least 1-2 years of research experience in a related field
- Hold an MD or PhD degree
- Have an academic appointment as a research fellow, instructor, or junior faculty member within the United States.
Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Up to 10 travel grants are available.
