Case Presentation: A Man with Urosepsis - The Bladder and Beyond - An 80 year-old man who is brought to the Emergency Department by his daughter for fever and a change in mental status.
Urosepsis is a common problem that often brings frail older persons to the emergency department. However, the astute clinician should not limit his or her focus to just the obvious problem. Other serious and potentially correctable disorders may exist that have in fact contributed to the decline in mobility and function that characterize the frail state.
