Invitation from the Section Program Committee
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 7th Annual Meeting of the Section of Surgical and Related Medical Specialists of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) on May 3, 2008 in Washington, DC. The Section meeting is the premier educational event for surgical and related medical specialists interested in learning about caring for older adults. Through a combination of case presentations and poster sessions, the meeting offers the latest the latest information on clinical care, research on aging, and innovative models of care delivery in the perioperative setting.
The 2008 Annual Meeting of the Section for Surgical and Related Medical Specialists will address the educational needs of surgical and related medical specialists as well as the needs of interdisciplinary members of their team.
During the Jahnigen and Williams Scholars Poster Session Reception, meeting attendees will have a wonderful opportunity to network and exchange ideas and information with their peers. As a special feature this year, the session will include presentations from past recipients grants under the Geriatrics Education for Specialty Residents Program. The John A. Hartford Foundation has recently awarded expanded funding for these programs and this is a great opportunity to learn about developing a successful proposal.
Geriatrics-for-Specialists project staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about the meeting. We look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC!
