The following information is provided so that applicants may understand our Post-Award requirements should they be selected for the JCD/GEMSSTAR Award.
JCDA/GEMSSTAR recipients will be invited to participate in all leadership development and networking opportunities offered by the American Geriatrics Society through its Geriatrics-for-Specialists Initiative. These include the U13 Conference series and additional meetings held in conjunction with the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
Please note that funds will be distributed only after appropriate IRB approvals are in place.
Awardees will be required to submit a brief narrative report twice yearly on progress with research and career plans. Sponsoring institutions will be required to provide twice yearly documentation of funds expended.
The AGS manages this program in its entirety. This includes coordinating the application and review processes, distribution of funds, and annual auditing of scientific progress and use of funds reports.
