AGS uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, to communicate back to you, to update you on services and benefits, and to personalize our web site for you.
The AGS uses your personally identifiable information for the purposes for which it was submitted. For example, AGS uses the information collected to enable a user to: (i) purchase AGS products (ii) obtain CME credit, (iii) pay membership dues, (iv) make charitable contributions, (v) to receive AGS benefits and/or service announcements, and (vi) to participate in AGS sponsored meetings, programs, contests, awards, activities, etc.
In the event that you choose to participate in the AGS member directory and/or Healthcare Professional Referral Service, you acknowledge that your name, location, contact information (phone number, e-mail address, specialty, subspecialty, education and training, areas of clinical concentration, hospital appointments, academic appointments, society memberships, date of birth, gender, etc.) will be available to search, access, and view by the general public. You may elect to not participate in the directories by updating your profile on your account page.
The AGS maintains a membership database independent of its web operations. The information in this database is drawn from membership applications, dues payment forms, product orders and other transactions between the College and its members. Using this database, the AGS occasionally shares member data with other organizations. The AGS uses member e-mail addresses for the sole purpose of conducting AGS business and for communicating with members. The AGS will not sell or lease your e-mail address to other persons or organizations.
