AGS/ADGAP Compensation & Productivity Survey FAQ
Participating AGS and ADGAP members power Phairify's Physician Value Exchange: Career & Specialty Data Platform by completing the AGS/ADGAP Compensation & Productivity Survey. The data used on the platform is aggregated from survey responses.
Once an AGS/ADGAP member completes the survey, they can then access the Career & Specialty Data Platform to view and use the data to help inform their personal and professional decision-making. The data can be used to benchmark their professional value by comparing to others with similar years in practice, practice type, geographic location, and other insights to negotiate, grow, and stay competitive.
All data collected through the survey is anonymous and cannot be traced back to the person who submitted it.
The platform is only as good as the data it receives, so the more members that participate, the more robust and meaningful the data will be.
The AGS/ADGAP Compensation & Productivity Survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.
Members of AGS and/or ADGAP who are geriatricians are eligible to participate in the AGS/ADGAP Benchmarking Survey and access Phairify's Physician Value Exchange: Career & Specialty Data Platform.
While the current survey is available only for AGS geriatrician members, we are considering expanding our efforts to include other geriatrics health professionals in the future.

Just click "Sign in with your Society Credentials" to register or log in using your AGS member credentials – the same one that you use to log in to GeriatricsCareOnline and the MyAGSOnline Community.
Once you complete the AGS/ADGAP Compensation & Productivity Survey, you will have immediate and unlimited access to data that will enable you to understand how your current employment compares with your peers and track key metrics. You will be able to use the platform and market intelligence to help you take control of your career.
In addition, AGS geriatrician members can also build a personalized profile for jobs that match career ambitions identified by the survey answers provided. Our members will be able to use the platform and market intelligence to personalize the metrics for jobs they want to learn about (e.g., compensation, benefits, responsibilities). Participating members will have access to a dashboard to then view job match alerts or update their desired job requirements.
Your participation in the AGS/ADGAP Compensation & Productivity Survey is essential to building a rich, updated dataset that can be used to support AGS/ADGAP members. The more members complete the survey, the richer and more meaningful the data will be.
Other benchmark metrics do not capture the value of geriatrics health professionals to a health system or the heterogeneity of modern-day geriatrics practices. They are informed by low-quality data.
The survey consists of a set of standard core questions about where you are in your career currently and where you want to be related to:

When completing the survey, you will have the opportunity to designate a proxy to assist with provision of the clinical productivity data. Members have two choices for working with a designated administrator or proxy to submit responsive data: (1) assign a designated proxy to provide requested data to you in an XLS file, that you can then use to complete the survey yourself or (2) ask the designated proxy to activate or log in to your account and upload the data in the survey directly on your behalf.

All data collected through the survey are anonymous. There will be no way for Phairify, AGS, or any other party to link any survey respondent with the data submitted. All collected data are stored separately from your email and other user credentials to further ensure any data you submit cannot be linked to you.
Once you’ve completed and submitted your benchmarking survey, you can immediately access and use the data housed in Phairify's Physician Value Exchange: Career & Specialty Data Platform.

There are two ways to access your data once you have logged in:
- For an interactive exploration of the data, you can click on the “Phairify Assistant” chatbot in the lower right corner of the screen and ask it your questions. The Phairify Assistant will access the aggregate data to answer your specific questions and suggest other ways to explore the data. Importantly, the Phairify chatbot tool looks solely to our collected data to ensure the provision of relevant, high-quality responses – it does not search any other outside data sources.
- To see graphical representations of the specialty data, choose “Inform” from the main navigation menu at the top of the page. In Inform, click “Select Measures” to open the menu of aggregate specialty data types and select the desired data input your wish to review. (A measure is a unique data input from our survey such as total cash compensation, years of practice, or wRVUs.) To analyze a desired cohort and create personalized reports, choose Filters from the menu to apply to a selected Measure. For example, you can explore how wRVUs vary by years of service. Filtering criteria are shown at the top of the measure of interest, and you can apply as many filters as you like for a given Measure.

Once a member has completed a survey, they will have immediate access to the Career & Specialty Data Platform, where they can access specialty-specific aggregated data.
Yes, but your participation as a returning user is a simple review and update of existing information. Your survey questionnaire will be pre-populated with your responses from the immediate past year so that you can simply update the information and submit.
Your security and privacy are a top priority. Phairify has rigorous authentication processes and encryption standards in place to protect all user information stored in systems and communicated via the internet. Only authorized personnel can access your information, and databases are automatically backed up to prevent loss of data.
Phairify is a physician-founded and physician-led company delivering an anonymous, free, secure, physician-first marketplace. Phairify’s data collection and visualization application permits users to filter their specialty database to design cohorts of physician practices that are just like them. Phairify allows physicians to define what is important or unique about their practice to find the right comparison group. Current physician compensation market research either compares practices to all U.S. physicians or those in the same geographic region and such an analysis fails to yield accurate information because comparability is non-existent.
