Opportunity Description:

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is accepting applications for The John A. Hartford Foundation Age-Friendly Health Systems Cohort Scholarships as part of its Next Generation Leaders Fellowship.

The AHA Next Generation Leaders Fellowship focuses on developing leaders and empowering them to bring about real and lasting change in the hospital and health systems in which they serve. The program will help emerging leaders tackle key issues and challenges affecting health care affordability, cost, quality and safety. The Age-Friendly Health Systems Cohort Scholars will work towards providing enhanced care to older adults by reliably implementing a set of four evidenced-based elements of high-quality care, known as the 4Ms Framework, at their organization for their change project in the fellowship program.

Fellows will walk away with:

  1. A network with an accomplished group of peers and health care leaders
  2. Firsthand knowledge through a one-on-one mentoring relationship with an elite health care leader
  3. New ways to approach real-world challenges via asynchronous and synchronous exercises and collaboration with peers
  4. An action plan for your organization to sustain momentum after the program

Applications are due March 31, 2022.

AHA is hosting a virtual information session on February 1 at 1pm ET.
