ASCENT 2025 Pilot and Exploratory Studies Award

The Advancing the Science of Palliative Care Research Across the Lifespan (ASCENT) Consortium invites applications for its 2025 Pilot and Exploratory Studies Award Program, designed to support innovative research that improves the lives of seriously ill patients and their caregivers. A major challenge in advancing palliative care is the lack of early-stage projects that build the evidence needed for real-world impact. This is especially true for early-career researchers seeking their first major grant and mid-career investigators exploring new directions. The ASCENT Pilot and Exploratory Studies Award offers funding, guidance, and support to help launch pilot and exploratory studies that can lead to larger, externally funded research.
