JAMA Internal Medicine Editorial Fellowship

JAMA Internal Medicine is proud to announce their expanded Editorial Fellowship Program. JAMA plans to offer 3 early-career faculty in Internal Medicine the opportunity to participate in an immersive 1-year fellowship serving as a part of the team of editors at JAMA Internal Medicine. 

Editorial Fellows will be key members of the JAMA Internal Medicine editorial team and will gain substantial experience in all core elements of serving as an editor at a high-impact medical journal. Fellows will receive longitudinal mentorship from JAMA Internal Medicine Editors. Fellows please dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week to fellowship-related activities (in addition to scheduled editor meetings). Fellows will receive a small stipend in recognition of their contributions to the journal.

Applications from individuals with diverse clinical and experiential backgrounds, particularly those who are from underrepresented groups in medicine, are highly encouraged. While the Fellowship will provide the most benefit to those who are committed to a career in academic medicine, extensive research training and/or experience is not a prerequisite to applying. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity for career advancement and skill development for early career faculty with a wide range of scholarly interests within academic medicine.
