According to the CDC, the percentage of individuals in the U.S. living with obesity reached 42.5% in 2018. Individuals who live with obesity are at greater risk for many other serious chronic diseases, including severe illness and death from COVID-19. Our speakers will explore the complex science and policy challenges that bear on progress to address this health threat, including its relevance to health disparities and the role of research and development.
