Parkinson's and Related Disorders: Advancing Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Cures (A Workshop Series): Call for Experts

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking suggestions for experts to participate in the new workshop series on Parkinson's and related disorders. The workshops will inform the development of the National Plan to End Parkinson's being created by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The National Academies will host two public workshops in 2027 on improving prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care delivery, and ultimately finding a cure for Parkinson's and related disorders. The first workshop will focus on research and the second workshop will focus on care, services, and supports. Each workshop planning committee will include individuals with relevant research, training, professional experience, and lived experience across public, private, clinical, and community-based settings.
