NEXT STEPs 2026 Annual Meeting Travel Scholar Application

Join the Nursing Home EXplanatory Clinical Trials Supporting Transformation by Enhancing Partnerships (NEXT STEPs) in Indianapolis, IN on September 15–16 for the second annual NEXT STEPs Network Meeting, Cultivating Engagement: Collaboration Across the NEXT STEPs Network. This year’s meeting will showcase the momentum of the past year, highlighting pilot projects, innovative engagement initiatives, and voices from across the network. Through compelling panels and shared learning, the conference will explore how NEXT STEPs can expand its reach, strengthen partnerships, and drive meaningful, lasting impact across the field.

To support emerging leaders, they will be offering six Travel Scholar awards for Post Doc, Early Career Faculty, or Faculty moving their research into the nursing home to attend this year’s conference. Travel Scholars will receive up to $1,500 in travel support (airfare, gas, rideshare, and a hotel stay) booked directly through IU. Scholars will have opportunities to network with peers and senior colleagues across the NEXT STEPs Network. The application consists of a brief statement of purpose and CV. Applications are open from May 15th, 2026–June 19th .
