New York (April 13, 2026) — Today, the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and the AGS Health in Aging Foundation (HiAF) announced that the 2026 Thomas and Catherine Yoshikawa Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement in Clinical Investigation will be awarded to Dr. Ariel Green MD, MPH, PhD, AGSF, Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University.
The award will be presented on Friday, May 1st during the AGS 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting (#AGS26), April 30th – May 2nd (pre-conference days April 27th -29th). At the conference (which is being offered virtually), Dr. Green will deliver a lecture on “Aligning Medications with What Matters Most: Challenges and Opportunities in Advancing Person-Centered Deprescribing.”
