Opportunity Description:

For nearly 30 years, NIA has supported a network of Nathan Shock Centers (NSCs) across the country. Inspired by gerontology leader Nathan W. Shock, Ph.D., the NSCs provide state-of-the-art research infrastructure and services to study the biology of aging. They also offer researchers newer to the field of aging pilot project funding and career development opportunities. The latest NSC funding opportunity has broadened the spectrum of research focus areas to reflect how recent technological changes have advanced our understanding of the biology of aging.

This NOFO invites P30 applications for the Nathan Shock Centers of Excellence in Basic Biology of Aging (NSC). These Center grants will provide funding for leadership, training, research, and outreach activities that will increase and disseminate scientific knowledge in areas supported by the NIA's Division of Aging Biology (DAB).
