Statement from Sahiba Singh, MD
Northwell Health

The opportunity to serve as FIT Co Chair will be a perfect amalgamation to combine my passion for Geriatrics, my drive for advocacy and my interest in learning from one another and paying it forward by collaborating with other fellows across the nation.

Through this opportunity, I hope to use my former experiences (of Chief Residency, working as AMA ambassador, and AMA state delegate in the past) and combine it with the passion of collaborating with other learners and growing the Geriatric Medicine community into something bigger (with one small step at a time)

It is a great time to be a Geriatrician! (now more than ever) and I am excited about using my experience, and energy to grow together and push the field forward in every shape and form possible.

Sahiba Singh, M.D. is a geriatric medicine fellow at Northwell Health with a passion for geriatrics, advocacy, and collaborative leadership. She views the opportunity to serve as FIT Co-Chair as a way to bring together her dedication to advancing the field and her commitment to fostering connections among fellows nationwide.

Dr. Singh brings leadership experience as a former Chief Resident, AMA Ambassador, and AMA State Delegate, roles that have strengthened her skills in advocacy, representation, and building community. She is eager to channel this background into expanding the reach and impact of the AGS FIT Section, creating opportunities for fellows to learn from one another and collectively grow the field of geriatric medicine.

With enthusiasm and energy, Dr. Singh is committed to advancing geriatrics through collaboration, mentorship, and advocacy, and she looks forward to helping shape a stronger future for the specialty.
